Calla A.L. Imming was born in Joliet, Illinois before moving with her family to the beautiful area of Nashville, Indiana. From a young age Imming always loved to write. But her passion laid in the story itself, and what literature was meant to provoke within us. Imming strives to write pieces that change your viewpoint of the world, or help lead you to a beautiful escape with the beginning of her new book series The Goddess Unseen. Imming began working within her highschools newspaper and yearbook to refine her skills, as well as Theatre practicing as a director and writing scripts. Afterwards she attended Ivy Tech Community College for a Baking and Pastry degree. Culinary arts is family passion for the Immings and she wanted to fulful that aspect of her life as well before transferring over to Indiana University to pursue her bachleors in English. Imming began supporting herself as an independent at seventeen years old, and has worked two jobs to pay for her schooling as well as her living space. Although as the United States faltered globally, and facism rose alongside a growing economic imbalance between the people, Imming didn’t want to get caught in the spiral. So she stopped her educational pursuit at IU her senior year and decided those who love to write don’t need a degree, they needed experiance and they just need to write. Imming didn’t give up on her education entirely though, she began taking individual courses and seminars to further her skill and knowledge and to this day, and still preaches active growth for everyone regardless of where you are in life. Note that degrees aren’t everything but it is your intelligence and character which will take you far in life. Calla Imming currently resides in Bloomington, Indiana as she furthers her career.
